**Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Introduces Free Film and Photo Digitizing Services**

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Recollection Studio at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Oakland is now offering free access to equipment for digitizing family photos, home videos, and more. Residents can preserve their cherished memories by using the studio's specialized tools, including an 8mm and Super8 film conversion machine, VHS tape conversion stations, and photograph scanners.

Users can get hands-on with the tools, such as placing an empty reel on the source, recording the route, rewinding film, and managing the film holes and orientation during digitization. This gives individuals the opportunity to play an active role in preserving their personal history.
