Members and staff at the Homewood HAL Senior Center in Pittsburgh recently held a celebration for Melvin Hubbard El, affectionately known as Brother Mel, as he approaches his retirement at the end of the year. The event recognized Brother Mel’s contributions to the Pittsburgh community. The celebration was organized by CitiParks - Pittsburgh Parks & Recreation, in collaboration with the City of Pittsburgh and Mayor Ed Gainey.
