Allie, a social work fellow at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Homewood, is in her senior year at the University of Pittsburgh. She will continue her internship at the library for another semester. Allie plans to introduce therapy dogs to the library regularly after the new year. She is currently focusing on resource finding for her community in preparation for the upcoming holidays. Additionally, she is collaborating with the overflow shelter next door to gather relevant information for their clients. Allie chose this internship to help individuals take charge of their circumstances and utilize available resources.
