This month, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's South Side branch hosted the Little Explorers Learning Academy for a visit. A group of 24 preschoolers and their teachers participated in a storytime session where they read the book "Library Lion" by Michelle Knudsen.

During their visit, the children had the opportunity to play in the library’s kid's room, which features a library lion. Additionally, the preschoolers decorated library card holders and lanyards. Each student received information about how to obtain their first library card. The event was well-received, and the library enjoyed welcoming many new faces.
