Free Family Programs Available at Magee Recreation Center

The Magee Recreation Center in Pittsburgh is offering several free programs for children and families.
The KidSMART After-School Program is available for 3rd to 5th graders from October 7, 2024 to May 23, 2025. This program operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and includes STEAM-based enrichment activities, recreation games, and 30 minutes of homework help. A snack or dinner will be provided. Registration is required and will take place in person at the Center on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 6 PM on a first-come, first-served basis.
CitiSports Youth Futsal is available for children aged 4 to 8. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from January 15 to March 5, 2025. Children aged 4-5 can participate from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, while those aged 6-8 can join from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This program includes instruction and game play provided by CitiSports coaches. Registration is required and can be completed by visiting the Center.
Tiny Tots program is for children aged 5 and under, running on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to Noon from September 19, 2024 to May 16, 2025. This program includes playtime, story time, snacks, and crafts for children along with their parent or guardian. Registration is also required and must be done in person at the Center.
Additionally, the Handmade Holidays program is open for kids aged 7 to 12. More details on this program can be obtained from the Center.
