Pittsburgh Public Schools has announced the recipients of the 2024 Iota Phi Foundation Scholarship. Seniors Mikayla Sharif and Ashton Buckner from Pittsburgh Allderdice High School have been recognized for their academic excellence.

Mikayla Sharif has achieved a GPA of 4.5, serves as Senior Class Vice President, and is a three-time city league shot put champion. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she is actively involved in community leadership.

Ashton Buckner, with a GPA of 4.1, is the captain of the football team and aspires to be a computer engineer. He is also recognized as a dedicated scholar-athlete.

Their achievements were celebrated in a ceremony attended by Dr. Wayne Walters, affirming the excellence of Pittsburgh Public Schools students and the value of community support. The Iota Phi Foundation and the Iota Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. were acknowledged for their investment in the future of these young leaders.
