Seattle Art Museum Opens "Following Space" Exhibition

The Seattle Art Museum is set to open a new exhibition titled "Following Space" on November 20. This exhibition features the works of American artists Thaddeus Mosley and Alexander Calder. Thaddeus Mosley, a contemporary sculptor based in Pittsburgh, draws inspiration from modernist aesthetics and traditional African wood carvings. He is known for his innovative concept of "weight in space," which allows his large-scale wooden sculptures to appear as if they are defying gravity.
The exhibition will showcase 17 of Mosley's sculptures alongside five important artworks by Calder, who is credited with revolutionizing modern sculpture by incorporating movement into his pieces. Tickets for the exhibition are currently on sale and can be purchased at visitsam.org/calder.
