Pittsburgh Schools Implement New EBE Policy

Pittsburgh Public Schools has implemented a new Eligible Business Enterprise (EBE) Policy to ensure that eligible businesses can access public contracting opportunities. The superintendent has been directed to create a strategic plan that includes a mission statement, specific goals, strategies, and performance measures to promote equal participation for EBEs in the School District’s contracting process.
The announcement coincides with the PPS Business Opportunity Extravaganza, where organizer Paula B. Castleberry provided insights and outlined the day’s objectives. Those who were unable to attend the event can find more information about the resources available for eligible businesses by visiting the Pittsburgh Public Schools website at pghschools.org/mwbe.
