Healthcare Occupations Lead August Job Advertisements

In August 2024, the Allegheny County labor market showed several trends in job advertisements across various occupations. The highest number of active job advertisements was for Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, totaling 5,704 listings. This group includes roles such as Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Pharmacy Technician.
Following healthcare, Sales and Related Occupations had 4,350 active job ads, while Management Occupations accounted for 4,324 ads. Other notable categories included Office and Administrative Support (3,728 ads), Business and Financial Operations (3,041 ads), and Computer and Mathematical Occupations (2,879 ads).
Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations had 2,224 postings, and Transportation and Material Moving Occupations totaled 2,212 ads. Healthcare Support Occupations featured 2,003 listings, and Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations had 1,551 active job advertisements.
